Wroclaw Trophy International youth football tournament

Wroclaw, Poland

The facilities in Wroclaw are a guarantee of a blinding first edition of this international youth football tournament: a fine sports park immediately beside the city centre, the imposing Centennial Hall (UNESCO world heritage list) for the opening ceremony, a fitting stadium for the finals and of course the charming centre around the market square. The organisers want nothing more than for young people from across Europe to come to Wroclaw in large numbers to enjoy a great international youth football tournament together. The guests will be received with open arms: welcome to Wroclaw, the city of 2012 Polish football champions Śląsk Wrocław.

MKS Parasol Wroclaw

The organizer of the international football tournament Wroclaw Trophy is youth football club MKS „Parasol” Wrocław. Founded in 1982 the club runs 14 football teams in all age categories beginning with 6-year olds. The organization of the tournament is supported by the Municipality of Wrocław, Wroclaw’s Centre of Sport, Horsemanship and Recreation and the sports academy AWF Wrocław. The City of Wroclaw is a great supporter of this tournament and heartily welcome all participants to this European Championship city.

Touristic information

Wroclaw, with a population of 630.000, is the third largest city in Poland and capital of Lower Silesia. It is an exciting city for visitors of all ages and tastes, and will be the European Capital of Culture in 2016. The Market Square in the old city is especially impressive, with the city hall, numerous street cafés, restaurants and shops. Enjoy a meal at Piwnica Świdnicka, one of Europe’s oldest restaurants, which is located in the city hall cellars.

Wrocław's Gnomes

Like a miniature army, Wroclaw’s Gnomes dot the city’s doorways, alleys and street corners. You may well overlook the first dozen or so that cross your path, but in the end you can’t miss them! Although only knee-high, they are adorable and can be found everywhere in the city centre. Surprisingly, one of Wrocław’s most popular, memorable and iconic attractions is not a cathedral, a castle or monument, but a legion of little people: Gnomes.

Wroclaw Aquapark

Wroclaw’s Aquapark is a modern, multifunctional sport and recreation centre consisting of a number of interconnecting zones. The Recreational Zone has many exciting features including slides, Jacuzzis, a "lazy river" and outdoor pools. The Sauna and Wellness & SPA Zone offers visitors a relaxing range of saunas and baths, water massages and beauty treatments. The Fitness Club, is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and a unique children's gym, and lastly, the Aquapark is home to the award winning Competition Pool with its large spectator area. It goes without saying that the Aquapark also offers visitors a wide choice of restaurants, cafes and a bistro.

Wroclaw football stadium

The new Wroclaw Football Stadium has a capacity of 44.300 and was especially built for EURO 2012 when it hosted 3 group matches. It is well worth visiting and the tournament organisers will help participants with booking a stadium tour.
