International youth football tournament Wolfsberg Austria: Wolfsberg Cup

We bid you a warm welcome to Wolfsberg! Immediately upon arrival in the picturesque town of Wolfsberg the participants realise that they are welcomed as much-loved guests. The town in the Koralpe houses a special group of extremely talented competition organisers that each offer an exceptional international youth football tournament. “This tournament is super: the organisation, the facilities, the location but especially the hospitality. All our expectations were surpassed”. These laudatory words of a team leader say it all. In Wolfsberg the tournaments are arranged into the smallest detail. The three clubs from Wolfsberg form an extremely strong combination that for many years has been offering highly appreciated tournaments at Easter, Whitsun and during the summer.

Touristic information

Lavanttal is a wonderful region in Austria that literally means river Lavant valley. This river divides the capital of this region, Wolfsberg, into two parts. Wolfsberg has been in existence since the 12th century. The centre offers many historical gothic and renaissance style buildings. The wonderful castle Schloss Wolfsberg has an impressive mausoleum. Apart from plenty of history, Wolfsberg also offers a pleasant tourist centre.

You can go racing near the stadium four kilometres from Wolfsberg! As this is where you can find Kartcity: an exciting indoor karting track. Tobogganing in Klippitz is a way to discover the mountains the fast way, namely while tobogganing! You get off the mountain at great speed over a track of 1800 metres. It gives a real kick!

Klagenfurt (40 kilometres from Wolfsberg) lies at the banks of the warmest Alpine lake -Wörthersee, which is why it has a mild southern climate. This is why it is also known as 'the rose of the Worthersee'. With its friendly inhabitants and culinary delights, Klagenfurt is well worth a visit.
