Then join the international youth football tournament in Gerasdorf where you take the tram into the historic centre of Vienna. Of course that would be nice but the main reason for participating in the Danube Challenge Cup is still however the enthusiasm of the experienced organizer SV Gerasdorf-Stammersdorf who will offer their guests a fine international youth football tournament in their attractive sports park.  


SV Gerasdorf-Stammersdorf

The Danube Challenge Cup is organised by SV Gerasdorf-Stammersdorf. The Austrian club SV Gerasdorf-Stammersdorf was founded in 1998 and regularly takes part in Euro-Sportring tournaments in other countries. Because of this, they know from experience what is important for participants. They of course apply this knowledge to the organisation of their Danube Challenge Cup. They thus see to a tournament that meets all wishes of its participants. 


The Danube Challenge Cup is held at the sports park of SV Gerasdorf-Stammersdorf. This sports park has four grass pitches, a large clubhouse, beach volleyball and tennis facilities and an outdoor swimming pool. The second tournament location is the sports complex of their neighbouring club in Kapellerfeld. Here participants can use two grass pitches, a clubhouse with canteen and a nice terrace.

As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.

Touristic information


Gerasdorf lays only a stone’s throw away from Vienna. From Gerasdorf you can get to Vienna by public transport in 20 minutes. 


With 1.7 million inhabitants, the city of Vienna is by far Austria’s largest city. Especially the inner city still shows many traces of its history . For instance, the Imperial Palace, which used to be the seat of emperors and is now the headquarters of the Federal President. Along the ring road you can find impressive neoclassical buildings such as the State Opera, the Burg theatre and the Parliament. The Museum District also acts as a magnet for tourists from all over the world. You can enjoy a lovely walk, cycle or simply laze around along the Danube River.
